Hi all...

I just returned from Wicomico county in search of shorebirds (a VERY
difficult county to find shorebirds in) and thought I'd quickly share
some results...

Hurlock WWTP - Black-bellied Plover (1 ad.); Semipalmated Sandpiper;
               Least Sandpiper; Western Sandpiper (2); Both Yellowlegs;
               Forster's and Least Tern; Spotted Sandpiper; Killdeer;
               Green Heron; Snowy, Great, and Cattle Egrets

Denton WWTP - A construction project is ongoing; I was not allowed
               to enter ... not sure how long until completion.

Horsehead -    Semipalmated Plover (4); Short-billed Dowitcher (2)

Upland Sandpiper - Easton Airport (1) and Salisbury Airport (5)

Common Moorhen - Easton WWTP (2+) and Blackwater (2ad + 4juv)

As for Wicomico ... not much as expected:
    The Oakwood Turf farm looked promising for Buff-breasted later
  in migration - lots of (50+) Killdeer. The Rewastico Pond near Athol
  had a small mudflat with Semi and Least Sandpiper. One lonely
  Sanderling was at the campground at Nanticoke - this is really neat
  habitat - looks almost like Assateague! Church Rd near Green Hill
  was great for fall warblers - Prairie, Black-and-White, Redstart,
  Magnolia, and a possible Blackburnian.

Anyone know of good spots to get shorebirds in WI?

Good birding,
Ryan Lesh
