Virginia Rail at the Smithsonian Institution

Just an update on the rail--it has been in the area of the Enid Haupt
Garden all week, but has been pretty much secretive and rail-like
whenever I looked for it.  I saw it Monday, Wednesday and perhaps
today (a glimpse of a bird scuttling through the shrubs).  This week
I have only seen it in the morning from 8-10 a.m.,  and only among the
yews that line the Independence Avenue sidewalk.
