A female or possibly an immature male Yellow-headed Blackbird was seen
Thursday about 11:00 AM at the Herrington Harbour Marina near Rose
Haven, Anne Arundel County. Two others, besides myself, saw the bird
which landed on a bare branch in a tall deciduous tree between the
dinghy storage area and the slipholder parking lot which is accessed
from the west entrance to the marina off Rt. 261. The bird resembled a
Red-Winged in shape and size, was very dark, with no conspicuous
markings, except for a yellow throat and upper breast.
