Mike--Thanks for the directions to Wakefield. I birded there Friday from abut 3 to 5 PM, as part of a whirlwind day with a California birder. We found a few Redstarts, Nashvilles and Yellowthroats and a single Palm Warbler. Flickers and Robins were moving through in fairly good numbers. as were Red- eyed Vireos. What an idyllic meadow the power company has created, and the fall asters, goldenrod, ironweed, etc. are at their peak. I'm going to try it again next week, in the AM. Thanks again.
