Hi All:

I`m fortunate to have birded with a friend this fall who taught me the "
tink, tink " call note of Bob-o-links and the " squeak " of the Rose
Breasted Grosbeak, the latter sounding like a rubber sneaker sole "
squeaking " on a hardwood floor. It`s amazing how once you`ve learned
these you can really zero in on birds flying overhead, and makes me
aware of all the birds I`ve missed.
Winter finches are next on the agenda.
