Thanks to all who have sent me the Flamingo details. I think I've got it all
now. Best plan seems to be the following
Check with Rangers for info on Flamingos (so they can set up the slide projector
ahead of time)
Check for High Tide times (I work for NOAA so this should be simple for me)
Wake up before dawn (not so simple)
Rent bike and drive it to the trail head
Put scope in tri-pack
Put on mosquito net and deet
Ride to end of trail (watch out for gators!) - Maybe rent moutain bikes - we'll
just jump em.
DONT wander off the trail and get lost (or bring an extra pint of blood).
Park bikes at end of trail and RUN to the viewing platform
Set up scope
Pray
Look for pink blobs
Got the scope
got the tri-pack
got the info
where can I mail order the birds?
