Darius, I've noticed this white edge mark also, and have found no reference to it anywhere, not in any field guide or other book, so I assume it is not diagnostic for field identification. I also assume that they are females (perhaps YOY). The new warbler guide doesn't mention that particular plumage either, as far as I know. Interesting... Rick Sussman Ashton, MD Warblerick@aol.com
