Folks,

Ray Carter and I dropped by the Smokey Rd Refuge that Jim Stasz reported upon
recently.  It was very interesting!  The weather was a bit overcast all
morning today, 3 Oct 98 from 0700 to 1200 when we birded.  Highlights of the
day were...

Pied-billed Grebe (1), Red-shouldered Hawk (2), Red-tailed Hawk (1), C. Swift
(2), E. Peewee (1), E. Phoebe (4), Brown Creeper (1), House Wren (2), Ruby-
crowned Kinglet (5), Catbird (4), Brown Thrasher (15), Cedar Waxwing (5),
Black-thr Blue (3), Yellow-rumped (60), Pine (1), Palm (2), Bay-breasted (1),
Blackpoll (3), Black&White (3), Common Yellowthroat (8), Rose-breasted
Grosbeak (1), Indigo Bunting (4), E. Towhee (20), Chipping Sp (10), Field Sp
(1), Song Sp (3), White-thr Sp (16), and Dark-eyed Junco (2).
