Hi Kurt -- Have you had any chance to go out and see if the Western Tanager is still hanging around? With poor migratory weather in the last few days, a lot of birds are "off passage" and can be re-located -- soemtimes quite near the initial sighting area. It might be worth a try -- that is a bird that manuy of us would quite like to see out east. Thanks for the detailed report -- Gail Mackiernan
