Next week will be Refuge Week. This is a week long celebration of our National
Wildlife Refuges. We have many fine NWRs within easy driving distance of the
DC area.  Many could also use our help. Want to hear more about the Audubon
Refuge Keepers Program in person?  

Lora Wondolowski of NAS will be speaking at the October program of the Prince
George's Audubon Society on the ARK program.  We are organizing support for
several of our local refuges, both volunteer and legislative.  There will also
be a presentation about  Eastern Neck NWR on Maryland's Eastern Shore.  This
is one of the least visited of our many refuges on the Delmarva peninsula and
has many volunteer opportunities available.
