Hi All:
Slower flight today, following between 9:11 am, with mod. NE winds, 80 %
cloud cover, good visibility.
Kestrel- 1
Sharpie- 12
Northern Harrier- 3
Coops- 2
Bald Eagle- 3 ( 2 1st-2nd year transition juveniles- very dark )
Red Tail- 2
Black vulture- 5
Also, possible Goshawk? Any thoughts?
Accipiter length tail, long , straight and squared at end.
Very bulky body, easily 2x size small Sharpie
Massive & broad wings, almost buteo like, but crooked forward at the
elbow, giving the typical head impression of an accipiter.
Wingbeats were slow and deliberate.
Bird was seen in profile, several glasses above the horizon, and at some
distance.

Also of note:
Red-breasted Nuthatch- ** several, Fall arrival, heard calling.
Yellow-rumps- Everywhere- 100+ at least, in about 3: 1 ratio with Palm
Warblers.
Red Headed Woodpecker- 1
