Folks, OK, I know its not a Mocker, but Jim opened the door to other mimics. And I am amazed at this one. I'm at Bombay last spring, late April I think. I am walking that little strip near Bear Swamp that has a couple of owl boxes hoping for a Screech or Barn. Then I hear it. A Gray-cheek Thrush singing. Only its a Brown Thrasher. The bird was 20 feet in front of me doing a damn fine Gray-cheek. Where did it learn that? Kurt Gaskill
