I spent three hours at the Bosley Conservancy near Edgewood,
Harford County, Maryland on Saturday, October 17. I had not been there
before and it is a fine spot. Highlights included 2 Virginia Rails, 1 Marsh
Wren, I Cooper's Hawk, 3 Eastern Phoebes, 60+ Yellow-rumped (Myrtle)
Warblers, 1 Northern Parula, 1 Cape May Warbler, 2 Common Yellowthroats,
and 1 CONNECTICUT WARBLER (my 278th bird in Harford County).

"Everywhere I go I'm asked if the university stifles writers. My opinion is
that they don't stifle enough of them. There's many a bestseller that could
have been prevented by a good teacher." Flannery O'Connor
