I have the Domke Outpack ScopePak which I intend to use while traveling with my new Swarovski scope. Last year, at the Festival of the Cranes (Bosque Del Apache - New Mexico), a photographer was carrying a 600mm Nikon (very expensive and heavy) lens using this pack, and he indicated that he was very happy with his purchase. I subsequently bought the pack to carry some photo equipment, however the pack was a little large for my photo needs so I have not yet used it. Since I had such a great time at last years Festival of the Cranes, my husband and I decided to return to the festival again next week and bought a scope to enhance our birding. We will taking the scope in the scope pack to NM as a carry on next week. The scope pack was a around $85 with shipping from M & M photo, a very reputable NY optics shop which I have used several times. Another good shop which I have dealt with and sells the ScopePak is B & H Photo in NYC. Their price is $81 plus shipping.
