Cecil Loon Trip- 11/22 & Waterfowl Report

Hi All:
The Cecil Bird Club will host " Loons Along the Susquehanna", as well as
other waterfowl, on ll/22.
Meeting place north end of Calvert Manor parking lot, intersections of
272/273 in Cecil Co, 8:00 am.
The following observed at Perryville Community Park this afternoon:
Ruddy Duck- 57
Pied Bill Grebe- 4
Black Duck- 4
Ring Neck Duck- 8
Common Goldeneye- 2 ( both female )
American Coot- 25
Northern Shoveler- 2
Scaup Sp?- 43  ( These were very far away, not visible to the naked
eye.  They were the right size/shape for scaup, black butts, dark
throat/breast and pale along the waterline.  Beyond that, I could not
discern. )
Canada Goose- 1 ( Patrolling along the edges of the scaup raft, their
own personal guard goose, honking intermittently )
