I use Avis and so far am quite happy with it.  It allows me
to do the world list (and any others I like).  Switching between
Latin names and common names is very simple (an F key)
and very useful since there have been some name changes
since I started keeping me records in an edition of Clements.
I've almost got the basic life list entered but will then have to
do lots more work to get state and local sightings up-to-date.
