Hi Tom!

I am Anne Brooks of the Baltimore Bird Club. I am currently
developing a database for the BBC that will correspond to the yellow book.
I am using Excel to do this. If you wish I could email you a copy of the
database for logging birds. You would have to have Excel 95 or higher to
use the database, however. If interested let me know. I should have it
polished off in a couple weeks. This Database is mainly for folks who are
adding to their County lists for MOS, etc. It is not that useful for
keeping a lifelist. I am, however, thinking of keeping my yardlist on this
database for my own information.

Of course this doesn't mean you shouldn't have a birding software
as well. I have two and use them to sharpen skills and to leep my personal
lifelist and annual yard lists on at present.. I have Peterson's and the
National Audubon Society American Bird Programs. I like certain aspects of
both. Haven't checked out any others. Let me know how you like what you
select as I will be buying a new program before too long.

        Peace!
        Anne
