Hi all,
On the birding software, I have both of the Thayer products. I
personally do not find them very usefull. The Birds of North America is
okay, it has a lot of pictures but not a lot of text.
However, the Birder's Diary I find close to useless. Trying to enter
your lifelist can be very frustrating. Unless you just check off the
bird you saw and don't write in where you saw it or what the date of the
sighting was, this becomes very tough. It won't allow you to just type
in where you saw it, you must pick from an already made list of states.
So if you want to write in more specifics then you have to add a new
site. It goes on and on forever. I won't ramble anymore but I got
these for Christmas and if I had been able choose which software I
wanted it would not be the Thayers.
