Folks,

Dropped by Piscataway Creek today at lunch (about 1200), the tide was very
low.  There were a very large number of birds present...

Tundra Swan - 77
Canada Goose - 400 (est)
Am Black Duck - 100 (est)
Mallard - 300 (est)
No. Pintail - 150 (est)
No. Shoveler - 150 (est)

Am. Wigeon - 11
Canvasback - 31
Ring-necked Duck - 23
Lesser Scaup - 55
Surf Scoter - 1
Bufflehead - 282
Hooded Merganser - 25
Ruddy Duck - 100

plus.... Ring-billed Gull, Herring Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Red-bellied
Woodpecker, No. Flicker, Fish Crow, No. Cardinal, and White-throated Sparrow.
