On December 10 (Thursday), a bit after 7:30 p.m., the Montgomery County
Chapter of the MOS will present a slide show by William R. Stott, Jr.,
entitled "Ice, Wind, Water and Flight: Birds of Antarctica." Mr. Stott will
discuss his numerous visits and birdy experiences on the icy continent down
under.

Preceding this talk, chapter member and noted bird photographer George
Jett will present a brief bird ID slide presentation.

Also during the meeting, a small selection of Claudia Wilds' Antarctic
books will be available in a silent auction. First bids will be taken 15-20
minutes before the 7:30 p.m. meeting start.

MCC-MOS meetings take place at the Potomac Presbyterian Church, 10301 River
Road, Potomac. From the Beltway, take Exit 39 West (River Rd./Rte. 90)
toward Potomac. After crossing Falls Road (Rte. 189), continue 1/4 mile to
Gary Rd. on the right. Turn right on Gary Rd., then take an immediate left
into the church parking area. (It's okay to park in the adjacent elementary
school lot as well.) Meetings are held in the Fellowship Hall on the ground
level. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
