Folks,

During scouting missions for the Manasas CBC I am pleased to report that an
Oldsquaw was found on a pond in the battlefield area (by Todd Day). It was
hanging out with a dozen or so Hooded Mergs. I went and took a few pictures
of it today. We are hoping the bird will hang around until Sunday, the day of
the count. But at least it gets into the record books with a "CW" after it.

The last few weeks have yielded observations of several Fox Sparrows, a couple
of White-Crowns, a few Savannahs, several Winter Wrens, many Hermit Thrushes
and two groups of Wild Turkeys. We hope these will make the observation
reports next Sunday!

See you next Sunday!
