Hi all, I was at this site today with Wil Hershberger.
The location is really on Buckeystown Pike, about 1/4 mile north of Oland
and Lilypons Road. Not New Design Road.

I went looking for "field birds" all over Loudoun Co, VA and then up into
Frederick Co., MD today. All the fields I looked over were solid sheets of
snow and ice.

Fresh manure had been spread at the above site, attracting the hundreds of
birds reported. I would assume that as long as the snow cover persists,
this manure will concentrate these birds.
Drive-in Longspurs, what great views today !!
Close range was about 30 feet.
