This report is provided to let folks know about a few of the fine birds that are still there waiting to be viewed. Started at Ocean City; highlights: The four beautiful male Common Eider (3 adult, 1 1st year) Very cooperative Harlequin Ducks (7 m, 5 f) Purple Sandpipers (3) Surf Scoters (11) Several common loons, plenty of red-breasted mergansers Next good viewing was at Indian River Inlet. Most Bonaparte Gulls were out in the ocean beyond the channel. At the Marina around the boats near the Texaco station turned out to be the best viewing place. Highlights: One male Harlequin Duck Two Black-headed Gulls - easily found accompanied by a group of only 30 Bonaparte's Seven Pied-billed Grebes Final stop was at Silver Lake in Rehobath to enjoy the great numbers of Black Ducks, Mallards, Ruddy, Canvasback, Shoveler, Lesser Scaup, and a few Gadwall and RB Mergansers. Good Birding Les Roslund Lroslund@bluecrab.org
