Directions to Patuxent Wildlife Research Center from the Beltway...

Take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (route 295) towards Baltimore.
At approximately the 3rd or 4th exit you will see signs for Powdermill
Road and the Beltsville Agriculture Research Center. Take that exit
and turn right onto Powdermill Road. Travel about 4 miles or so until
you come to the end of Powdermill Road. As you travel along you will
see signs for the USFWS National Visitor Center on your right - ignore
them - but it is a nice place to visit.

Powdermill road ends at Route 197 at a stop light. Cross 197 and you
will go directly into Patuxent's main gate. Travel a bit less than a
mile, passing a few brick buildings and a large parking lot on your
right. The road will end where it intersects with another road, turn
left and take an almost immediate left into the circular drive in
front of the largest building on Patuxent - Gabrielson Lab. Park on
the drive, or, if full, park back in the large lot you passed. The
conference room is on the second floor and the left hand side of the
building as you stand facing the front of the building.
