On Saturday, January 16, 1999 there was one adult White-fronted
Goose in a flock of 5000+ Snow Geese in Queen Anne's County MD. The
flock was feeding with swans in a field on Route 309 a half mile north of
Route 404. Hunters killed one Snow Goose in this flock. The birds were
also disturbed by a stunt pilot who was buzzing the area, but they
continued to return to the same field. Other good birds for the day were
a dozen Common Mergansers on the Tuckahoe River at Covey's Landing.
Here the hunters missed.
