Les:
We would like to thank you for sponsoring the event, and for taking on two last
minute birders. We had a great time. The weather was nice. We had a good
selection of birds. And the chili was delicious. It was an opportunity to
forget about the loss of power from the ice storm. Luckily, the power was on
when we got home.
	Best wishes,

I want to thank everyone who came on the field trip today. I enjoyed
meeting the new ones and seeing the repeaters again.

For those who didn't come, we had a beautiful day and the birds were
pretty good, too, although we had a few no-shows like the Lesser
Black-backed Gull, Peregrin Falcon and Black-crowned Night-Heron. Here
is my tally. Some of the birds I heard but didn't really point out. If
anyone has any to add, let me know. I came up with 48 species:

	 PIED-BILLED GREBE
	 HORNED GREBE
	 GREAT BLUE HERON
	 TUNDRA SWAN
	 TRUMPETER SWAN
	 CANADA GOOSE

	 BALD EAGLE
	 SHARP-SHINNED HAWK
	 RED-TAILED HAWK
	 AMERICAN COOT
	 BONAPARTE'S GULL
	 RING-BILLED GULL
	 HERRING GULL
	 GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL

	 BELTED KINGFISHER
	 RED-HEADED WOODPECKER
	 RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER
	 DOWNY WOODPECKER
	 BLUE JAY
	 AMERICAN CROW
	 CAROLINA CHICKADEE
	 TUFTED TITMOUSE

	 WHITE-THROATED SPARROW
	 DARK-EYED JUNCO
	 COMMON GRACKLE

Not bad considering that we basically ignored the landbirds.
