Hi all --

We went by Patuxent Visitor's Ctr. today, expecting that the warm weather had
melted Lake Redington and that the gulls would be scarce. We were (unfortunate-
ly) correct -- the lake is open and there were only a few Ringbills around.
There also seemed to be few gulls over the landfill but that is hard to
really assess due to the terrain.

Now we need to get some below freezing nights for a while!

I also noted the Center has put out a log *specifically* for GULL SIGHTINGS
so please, if you go there and see anything of interest, put down your report.
The log is at the front desk.
