Thanks, Gail. This bird is still present, and a friend and I went to see it today. It's associating with a flock of about 10-12 bluebirds, along Old Baltimore Rd. NE of Olney. This is very close to where Old Baltimore meets Carter Mill Way off Gold Mine Rd. There is an access rd to a water treatment bldg behind some new and rather large homes, and the birds were feeding along the edge of the road today. It was neat to be able to go and find the flock of bluebirds and almost immediately relocate the Palm Warbler. Also had 10 White-crowned Sparrows there again today. Our area of the mid- winter count (Area 5) came up with 66 species this year, tieing our old high from 1995, even though it rained all morning. Between the mild weather and the big storm front, I guess lots of stuff was around! Rick Sussman Ashton, MD Warblerick@aol.com
