Hi All:
Looking out at the drabness of today, it is hard to reconcile that
spring is coming, but the birds are giving voice to the fact that it
really is so.  It has been immensely cheering this past week to walk on
to the deck to be greeted by the song of house-finch, cardinal and
carolina wren.  A pair of chickadees are also visiting the feeders
together, presumably they are thinking of setting up house in the not
too distant future.  Hopefully they will not be sabotaged this year by
the arrival of the house wrens.
