Phoebes have been singing up a storm, starting right after the storm, this week at my place in Waldorf.
Must be on territory.
Woodcocks are also displaying predawn as well. They actually started in early February, slacked off for
a while, and now are going full bore. Peent.
I am leading a fieldtrip around Charles Co. tomorrow for MOS. There are still a few spaces available. A
target bird is Gannet off Cobb Island. If interested, call 301-843-3524 before 9:30 pm tonight.

Tyler,
The early record for Purple Martin in St. Mary's County is March
10, 1940. I assume you were in St. Mary's; is that correct?

Migrants seen today - a Turkey Vulture struggling northward
against the wind over the center of Baltimore, a large flock of windblown
Robins at home this evening, and a single Killdeer flying over home also.
