Hi Gail,

If I've already written to you, I apologize. I am in California, using a
borrowed computer with an e-mail program which doesn't seem to keep track
of whether or not a note has been replied to --duh. So here I am staring at
my e-mail and trying to remember what notes I answered and which I didn't.

You wrote such nice comments about my web page and I wanted to make sure
that you got a reply from me. I'm glad you enjoyed my photos -- I had such
a great time with this little warbler. I wonder if it will still be around
when I finally return on the 11th. I know the bluebirds will -- they never
leave.

You mentioned the sick grosbeak. I had a similar experience with a catbird
a year or two ago. It didn't seem to want to fly and when I tossed some
mealworms it came almost to my feet to pick them up. I didn't hand feed it,
but I felt something was wrong. I've never really encouraged birds to feed
from my hands, it just sort of happened.

Thanks again for writing.

Arlene
