Hello all, Did the Stone Bridge/Stable Loop with Bob Abrams today, starting at 7:30. It was rather foggy, temps starting out in the high 40's. We added a couple of spur trails, and the walk took until about 12:00 to complete. Temps were in the low 70's when done. There was a mild SW wind, and the cloud cover was beginning to break up by the end of the walk. There were a few new arrivals, as well as some lingering winterers. Nine sparrow species, eight warblers. Ruby-crowned Kinglets everywhere. And one Lesser Scaup hen in an unusual location, a small pond near the stables. The day ended for me with a small hawk flight, Bob stuck around to see if there would be more. In terms of number of species, today was the most I have had there.
