ospreyers,

In addition to the species Jim Felley noted in his report on today's mall
birds, two caspian terns were fishing the tidal basin. On my return I
added blue-winged teal to my mall list -- a drake and a duck were present
on the small island in the pond at constitution gardens. migrant numbers
were high, with at least a dozen each hermit thrushes and thrashers, and
several dozen each chipping, white-throated, and savannah sparrows.

good birding!
