A belated negative report: Yesterday, Monday, 5/2, Marion and I looked in
vain for the White-faced Ibis at the sites off Truitt's Landing Road where
it had been spotted the previous day by Marshall Iliff and Jim Stasz. We
were there off and on from about 10 AM to almost 2 PM, with occasional brief
side trips to E.A Vaughn and the road to another landing on the north. Mark
Hoffman had arrived at, I believe, 7:30 AM, but also had no ibis luck. Also
there from around noon on was Sam Dyke. To the best of my knowledge, all of
the above left the locality by around 2 PM, somewhat dampened by the
continuous precipitation that ranged from drizzle to outright rain.
