Hi all,

I went up to the ridge, the future hawk watch site in northeast
Baltimore City, about 150 from my home.

Birds seen at 6:30pm-7:30pm:

 4 Mourning Dove
 6 Chimney Swift
 2 Red-bellied Woodpecker
2 N. Flicker (seen at nest?)
 8 Am. Crow
11 Blue Jay
 1 Carolina Chickadee
 2 Wood Thrush
 1 Am. Robin
20 Gray Catbird (many more still around)
 2 N. Mockingbird
 4 European Starling
 3 Chestnut-sided Warbler
 8 Yellow-rumped Warbler
 1 Blackburnian Warbler
 1 Cerulean Warbler (possible more)
 9 Black-and-white Warbler
 2 Am. Redstart
 1 Ovenbird
 4 C. Yellowthroat
 2 Scarlet Tanager
 4 N. Cardinal
 2 Rose-breasted Grosbeak
 1 Indigo Bunting
 3 White-throated Sparrow
1 ? Oriole (lost it somewhere at the top of the highest tree,
Baltimore Oriole was seen and heard by the Audubon staff few days
ago and I saw one the next day)
 4 House Sparrow

C. Yellowthroat, Am. Redstart, Cerulean warbler, and Scarlet Tanager
became the new species added to the ridge list and bring a total of 108
species since 1992. House Wren and Prairie Warbler last week also the
new to the list.
27 species counted, the highest species ever reocrd in one day at the
ridge, I have only two record of 20 species this year, one few days ago
and one during Christmas Bird Count.

There is still more warblers at the ridge and couldn't identify them
because of poor light in the woods. Estimate about 40 more unidentified
warblers scattered across the woods.
