Went last night to try to relocate the little blue found on the may
count saturday. No luck with him but did find YELLOW CROWNED NIGHT
HERON, an adult in beautiful plumage. A treat for me since they are
rarely seen here in Ho Co (most are juvs. which I always appreciate but
WOW the adults are spectacular!)
On the return down the lake the YC had left and there was an adult
BLACK CROWNED! The YC might have still been around somewhere but we
didn't see him along the main lake edge.
Other goodies were BANK SWALLOW, only one bird that briefly swept
through. Two COMMON NIGHTHAWKS made an appearance also.
