On May 10th I saw a pair of Warbling Vieros here and then shortly one (female?) flew and landed on the nest. On the 19th I returned and "she" appeared to be sitting tight on the nest. Eggs? Directions: leaving the GW Parkway, then turn left to the Picnic Area. straight to the river using the right curb as the base of your line. is a Sycamore tree, about 15 inches in diameter. I tied white string around the trunk last evening, there were also some picnic tables near the tree, but they can be moved. The nest is maybe 25-30 feet up on the south west side, not hidden by the leaves. It looks like a typical vireo nest, suspended cup at the end of a branch. yours, David Bridge David@simsc.si.edu
