Hi All:
My sister-in-law, who is visiting from Canada, aptly spotted a Common
Loon ( new yard bird )flying in a north east direction over the yard
this am. It has been entertaining of late watching a young brood of
fledged Song Sparrows scurrying around the yard behind Mom.
At Fair Hill we observed a female Scarlet Tanager with the dilemma of
choosing between two males, who were both obviously competing for her
attentions. Male Indigo Buntings were engaged in territory battles.
Warbling Vireo sang from the usual Sycamore overlooking the creek near
the covered bridge. Yellow, Redstart, Parula, Kentucky and Common
Yellowthroat were seen/heard.
