I also saw it at the same location on May 6 at 2 pm, but I didn't see it on the May count nor early Tuesday morning when I walked along a good portion of the stream toward the river. Both times it was within 10 feet of the bridge standing on a gravel bar in the stream. Normally this time of year the water would be too high for the bird to be in the stream bed. It was on the downstream(east) side- left hand side as you are driving toward Sycamore Landing. If I were looking for it I would probably try in the late afternoon. I would park in the lot north of the bridge andwalk south until there is no more swampy area. My experience is that they are hard to find now unless you know where they are nesting, which is probably in the woods to the west of Sycamore Landing Road. Good Luck, Paul Woodward Fairfax,VA
