Bonnie, 
This all leads me to wonder whether our dogs could be fooled by "the real 
thing". We had a pair of orioles nesting in a cherry tree here, and I 
frequently wondered whether Peanut would go into his "feed me" rountine upon 
hearing one of the real birds sing. The problem is finding a real oriole that 
sounded like the one on the clock (which to my ear doesn't even come close to 
a real singing bird).

 Makes me wonder what your dogs would do if they heard a real singing mocker?
