[MDOsprey] MD Shorebird Net

Hello all,

Thought I would add a quick $0.02 to the ShorebirdNet discussion.

In no way would it be meant to replace Md Osprey, whose role in MD Birding is
essential and already firmly entrenched I think. This would only be a
supplemental aid. The goal would be to condense all shorebird info for a
season in one location. Ideally, a short writeup can be composed for each
location so that when MDOSpreyers read about great stuff at Easton WWTP or
Ridgely WWTP they need only log on to the website for directions and a brief
bio. Thus, we would all not need to save all the messages that give
directions to so and so a place. And, if we were planning a trip to the
shore, or the mountains, we could scan the website instead of back through
all the old emails to try to find out the current conditions. Check out the
Ohio page that Greg posted and think how we can improve on it! Obviously
though, anything newsworthy would appear on Osprey as well (the website may
be more appropriate for negative data - i.e. Courthouse Point today was bone
dry, no shorebirds in sight).

Great job so far Greg...sorry to put you on the spot like that but I thought
it was a great idea!

Best,
