Marshall, Greg...everyone...I don't think anyone objected to a new web site chock full of information. Part of the negative commentary was, I believe, based on an original misconception. I think Marshall said something about people logging onto the site and leaving messages (mea culpa if I misunderstood), giving some OSPREYers the idea that the new site would be another discussion list. I know I would not like to see the incoming messages split, if possible, and many others likely thought the same. But as I see it, neither the Ohio or MD sites have anything of the sort, and information on them is culled from a variety of sources. That being the case, as I said, the idea is a more than welcome addition. In fact, I can think of other topics that may deserve some specialty treatment. Hoping that this will happen, I think we should establish a virtual Maryland BirdingNET, so that all MD information can be easily accessed. I'm not talking about physically maintaining all the info in one place, nor am I talking about one site (just so that I am not misunderstood!). Anyone out there with a MD-based web site, please contact me if you would like to join in this effort. We can all work together to set this up. Best to all of you...
