Bob et al., I was very interested when I chased the Little Stnt to find an adult White-rumped Sandpiper in the same impundment. This was July 16. Sure shocked me, but it was surely a White-rumped based on size, wing length, bill shape, and breeding plumage characters (including the fine streaking down the sides). I've never seen another one on the East Coast earlier than August. Best, Marshall Iliff miliff@aol.com
