Rt. 100 (Meadowbrook) was quite productive this a.m. The area is very
overgrown and many normal paths had to be "thrashed" to get through.
There was some water in the ponds but the marshy spots were quite dry.
It was the first time I have come out of the area without ticks.
	Birds seen:
Great Egret , GR Blue and Green herons (3),
	Red-Tail (resident) Coopers (imm.),
	Solitary sand (the only shorebird),
4 emipids (I presume Willow from habitat) 1 unidentified empid-
slight yellow cast to breast but couldn't relocate.
Yellow warbler (3 sightings but possibly the same bird)
	Common yellowthroats feeding young
Songs and Fields with young of both sp.
	Blue Grosbeak (singing male)
	4 Baltimore Orioles
Lots of Indigos, finches and the usual crowd.

	Bonnie Ott , Ellicott city
p.s. signing off for a week as we head to the mountains!
