At 8:15 a.m. this morning there was a Red Knot on the flats at Havre de Grace. Low tide is at 10:38, so there should be flats still visible at noon. I think this represents the first county record. I have been checking the flats nearly daily for almost three weeks. This is the first bird of note since last Friday, when the 1st-summer Lesser Black-backed Gull seen twice this summer was again present. Otherwise there have been a small number of peeps, mostly Leasts and Semis, and a passel of Killdeer present.
