[MDOsprey] Major Nighthawk flight tonight

Hi all --
We went out onto our deck at about 6:00 pm, to look at the gathering storm
clouds, when we noticed that a number of nighthawks were aloft, flying
roughly N to S -- in less than a minute about 25 flew over, some quite low.
With them were a number of swifts and a few swallows. There was a brief
hiatus, then another group came over -- this time over 100 birds in about
10 minutes, again accompanied by swifts. Some were about 75 feet up, some
mere specks in the sky. Probably more passed by, since they were flying over
before we came out onto the deck, and we also do not have a complete view
of the sky due to trees.
Did anyone else observe this flight? We live in Colesville, near the
intersection of Randolph and NH Ave.
