Gail, et al... Kurt and I decided to set up a location in the Manassas Battlefield looking for nighthawks. We were seeing a couple groups of birds and a few stragglers until the storm front got close to us, and the lightning forced us back into the car. As we drove from one part of the park to another we saw two swarms/kettles of night hawks, one of 16 birds, the other of 19. Both of these were in a down pour.
