Dear Bob,

Thanks for responding. When I saw a note on MDOsprey to check the "Maryland
Shorebirding" site, I decided to look there. I found a description and a
map, for which I was also grateful. I arranged to go back out last evening
at sunset, and (excessive cheers) I found the buff-breasted sandpipers. I
may have seen all three of them. (One on the far side of the pond, and
later two together on the near side.) Also saw larger-than-normal peeps
with long primary extension beyond the tail. Two very gray and one warmer
brown. I'm guessing I found white-rumps and Baird's. It was a little crazy
of me to fight the rush hour traffic from Baltimore to reach the pond before
sunset, but it was worth it!

One quick question. The "Maryland Shorebirding" site had separate listing
for Harney Road Ponds and Bull Frog Road pond. From your letter, I am
guessing that the Bull Frog Road pond is the same pond as the East "Harney
Road Pond." The website description appears to say the same thing, although
I don't know why the East pond would end up in two separate descriptions.
Am I getting something confused again?

Thanks again for replying.
