Us local birders do check the fields every so often. Last year there was
a Golden Plover there. Killdeer can be quite common. The field(s) are actually
just south of Fruitland on the west side of US Rt. 13 where the Rt. 13 Bypass
intersects business 13. There is a convenience store at the only place where
you can really turn and go back along the fields. The road there is Stockyard
Road. Shorebirding depends as much on how recently some of the farm fields
have been plowed. There can be more to it than the sod farm. And, of course,
the wetness of the fields makes a difference.

So far this year the fields have been marginal for birding.
