To which I would like to add that it was present on and swimming north of the snag for at least half an hour before 1030 or 1100 on Saturday 11 Sep. It disappeared without us noticing it, and other people saw it at the mouth of Hunting Creek, sitting on a piling and preening, around 1130 I think. Thanks, Sherman, for keeping us updated!
